Hotels near Tokyo Dome for a concert night
After a concert or game at Tokyo Dome, a nearby hotel can make the end of the evening feel simpler. But “a short walk” can mean several different things: station exit to hotel, Tokyo Dome City to hotel, event gate to hotel entrance, or lobby to room. Hotel access pages generally describe only the first two. They do not promise how long it will take to leave your seat, pass the crowd or reach your room.
This comparison looks at Tokyo Dome Hotel, inside Tokyo Dome City, and Richmond Hotel Tokyo Suidobashi, a separate property nearby. Their official station routes and room details answer different questions. Use the access times to compare where each hotel sits, then check event-day exits and the exact room offer separately. This is not a timed walk from a particular seat after a specific show.

Gate assignments and crowd control vary by event. Check the organizer’s current arrival and departure guidance before you travel; a nearby address alone does not settle the return route.
Compare station access, then check the final route
Tokyo Dome Hotel lists about two minutes from JR Suidobashi’s East Exit and one minute from Exit A2 on the Toei Mita Line. Its estimates are about five minutes from Tokyo Metro Korakuen Exit 2 and six from Toei Kasuga Exit 6. Richmond lists about eight minutes from JR Suidobashi and about five from Mita Line Suidobashi, Korakuen and Kasuga. The hotel also puts Tokyo Dome City about two minutes away.
| Hotel | Starting point | Estimate |
|---|---|---|
| Tokyo Dome Hotel | JR Suidobashi East / Mita Line A2 | About 2 / 1 min |
| Tokyo Dome Hotel | Korakuen 2 / Kasuga 6 | About 5 / 6 min |
| Richmond Suidobashi | JR Suidobashi / Mita Line Suidobashi | About 8 / 5 min |
| Richmond Suidobashi | Korakuen / Kasuga | About 5 min each |
Those figures start at stations or Tokyo Dome City, not at your seat. On station access alone, Tokyo Dome Hotel is closer to JR’s East Exit and Mita Line A2; Richmond offers several subway stations. Richmond’s published Korakuen route uses stairs, a pedestrian bridge and another set of stairs before the hotel entrance, then an elevator to its fourth-floor front desk. Ask the hotel about an alternative if you need to avoid stairs or are carrying heavy luggage.

Save the hotel’s access map for your station arrival, but check the venue map for the event exit. A station estimate cannot tell you which gate your section will use or how long crowd management will take. If step-free travel matters, confirm the complete route from street entrance to front desk instead of inferring it from the hotel’s headline distance.
Tokyo Dome Hotel: inside the complex and a 33 m² twin
Tokyo Dome Hotel is the natural first look if you want to stay within Tokyo Dome City and value its connection to the JR East Exit and Mita Line A2. Being inside the complex narrows the area you need to navigate, but it does not define the event’s open gate or the route from your seat.
The Standard Floor Twin B is listed on floors 9 to 22, measures 33 m² and sleeps one or two. It has two beds, each 111 to 113 cm wide and 203 cm long, plus a unit bath. That gives two guests more floor area than Richmond’s 24 m² Moderate Twin. If you expect to spread out luggage or concert merchandise, the room size and wider beds may matter more than the hotel’s general proximity.

A separate photo shows a desk and window in a guest room; it is not identified as Twin B. Treat both images as room examples, and verify the full room name, floor, bed count and view terms on the booking page. The hotel also lists connecting Twin B rooms, but availability is limited. A connection across two rooms is not one six-person room, and a request is not a confirmed assignment.

Choose this hotel first if a larger twin and the Tokyo Dome City location lead your decision. Before paying, check the exact room offer and whether any connection request is confirmed. If a separate bathroom and toilet matter more than floor area, compare Richmond’s higher room types too.

Richmond Hotel Tokyo Suidobashi: compact twin, larger bath-separated rooms
Richmond Hotel Tokyo Suidobashi gives you several nearby subway stations to compare. Its Moderate Twin measures 24 m², has two 100 × 200 cm beds and a unit bath. The window is described as translucent with no view. Compared with Tokyo Dome Hotel’s Twin B, it is smaller and does not offer a view from that room type; in return, it may suit travelers who prefer this hotel’s station choices or room selection.

If you want the bathroom and toilet separated, the official room listing shows a 27.4 m² Superior Twin with separate facilities. The 31.2 m² Premium Twin also separates the bath, toilet and vanity. All Premium rooms are listed on the fourth floor, the same floor as the front desk, so a larger room here does not mean a higher-floor location.

The hotel’s indexed room information says an extra bed can be added to the Moderate Twin for three guests. Do not assume it is included in the standard two-bed offer. Confirm the exact plan, bed count and any extra-bed charge with the seller. Gallery images help you picture the interior but do not replace the room name and facilities shown for your reservation.

Consider Richmond if its subway access or separate-bath room types fit your plans and 24 m² is enough. If more room to spread out is the priority, compare the 33 m² Tokyo Dome Hotel Twin B. Make the call using the room you can actually book, not a general hotel distance or an illustrative photo.

Check event-day check-in before you arrive
The Tokyo Dome Hotel counter photo shows an indoor check-in area, not a guest room. If you plan to leave bags or check in before the event, confirm current storage rules and front-desk hours. Check your booking’s arrival deadline and after-hours entry as well; this comparison does not assume either property guarantees late check-in or luggage storage.

Richmond’s route description takes guests by elevator to the fourth-floor front desk. A hotel notice dated 5 January 2026 says 2 p.m. check-in can be busy on event days and described a numbered-ticket procedure at that time. It is a dated notice, not proof that the same procedure applies now. Ask the hotel how check-in will work on your date before travelling.
Restaurants and shops in Tokyo Dome City have their own schedules. If you plan to eat or pick up supplies before returning, check the official opening hours for your event day. Being inside the complex does not mean every shop stays open after a show.
Which Tokyo Dome area hotel fits?
Start with Tokyo Dome Hotel if you value a larger twin and staying within Tokyo Dome City. Start with Richmond if its subway stations or a room with a separate bathroom and toilet matter more. The Moderate Twin’s smaller area and no-view window, the Korakuen route’s stairs and bridge, and the Premium rooms’ fourth-floor location are specific trade-offs to weigh.
Neither property’s name gives a reliable time from your seat to the room. That depends on the event exit, crowd instructions, hotel entrance and the room you book. Decide whether your group values complex location, a wider twin, station choice or a separated bathroom, then verify those details in the current room offer.
Before booking a Tokyo Dome concert hotel
Check the property, full room name, guest count, beds, bathroom layout, cancellation terms and total for your dates. For three guests, confirm an extra bed is included in the selected offer. For connecting rooms, distinguish a request from a confirmed assignment. This guide does not compare live prices or date-specific availability.
Check the venue or organizer’s latest exit instructions. Richmond’s official room and access pages redirected to a hotel-group maintenance page when checked on 30 October 2026, so recent indexed official text was compared with current booking listings. Reconfirm access and room details with the hotel before booking. For a separate example about Tokyo station entrances and room layouts, see Stay Chapter’s Shinjuku Prince and Hotel Gracery comparison; it does not explain Tokyo Dome event exits or return times. This is an editorial comparison, not a personal stay review.
