An EV-charging icon does not settle the choice between Haevichi Hotel and Haevichi Resort Jeju. The two parts of the same complex direct drivers to different charging areas and describe different payment methods. Their rooms also suit different ways of spending an evening. Before choosing by the number of chargers, consider your rental car’s charging requirements and whether you need a living area separate from the bedroom.
Start with a hotel Superior room if underground charging and a bedroom-focused layout suit your stay. Consider a resort Junior Suite if you want a separate living area and can use the charging arrangements near the rear ground-level entrance. Neither choice reserves a charger or promises free charging. This comparison separates the hotel’s published charging information from the official descriptions of individual room types.
Start with charging location and payment
| What to compare | Hotel | Resort |
|---|---|---|
| Charging location | Underground car park | Ground level towards rear entrance |
| Published equipment | 1 fast + 4 slow units | 1 fast unit (2 cars) + 8 slow units |
| Credit card | Listed as accepted | Fast: direct; slow: via QR |
| Starting room category | Superior: bedroom-focused | Junior Suite: distinct living area |
Haevichi’s official FAQ lists one fast charger and four slow chargers in the hotel’s underground car park. It names JoyEV cards and credit cards as payment methods. The underground location is useful information when deciding where to park, but the FAQ does not give walking times from individual rooms or identify the closest lift. There is no published basis here for recommending a particular hotel room as nearest to a charger.
For the resort, the FAQ places one fast charger and eight slow chargers at ground level towards the rear entrance. The fast charger can charge two cars simultaneously. That is one unit serving two cars, rather than two separate fast chargers. The larger number of slow units does not establish how many will be free when you arrive, whether there will be a queue, or whether a unit will be undergoing maintenance.
The resort’s fast-charging entry lists membership cards, roaming membership including the Korean environment ministry network, credit cards, Android NFC and QR payment. Its slow-charging entry lists membership and roaming cards, Android NFC and QR payment; a separate note says credit cards can be used through QR payment. If you plan to use a credit card at a slow charger, check the QR process rather than assuming that tapping the card directly will work.
Travellers without a JoyEV card can compare the hotel’s credit-card wording with the resort’s QR instructions. The FAQ does not establish the connector, adapter, actual output, current tariff or live operating status for your car. Ask the rental company about its charging specification and return-charge requirement, then tell the hotel the vehicle model and payment method you intend to use. A count of installed equipment cannot answer those vehicle-specific questions.

The hotel pairs underground charging with Superior rooms
The official Superior description lists one bedroom, one bathroom and one balcony, with a village view and a room size of 46.8 square metres. Do not choose Superior expecting every room to face the sea. If sleeping and resting in one main room is sufficient, this is a useful hotel category to compare. If a sea view matters more, check the view named on a different room category rather than relying on the property’s coastal location.
Bed type is a separate choice. The Superior Double has one 210 by 210 cm king bed; the Twin has two 136 by 210 cm semi-double beds. A photograph of the Twin does not describe the King option. Read the full room name, including King or Twin, before comparing offers, especially if two people need separate beds. Neither the photograph nor the broad property name establishes what is included in a particular rate.
The hotel makes sense when its room layout and underground charging location both fit your plans. A separate lounge may add little if you spend most of the day out and use the room mainly for sleep. The trade-off becomes clearer when one person wants to sleep while another stays up: the bedroom-focused Superior does not offer the same separate living area described for the resort Junior Suite.
Booking a hotel room does not also book the charging space you want. On arrival, check the route between your room and the charging area and follow the operator’s rules about moving the car after charging. If you intend to wait in your room, establish how you will receive a completion alert and return to the car. Treating room choice and charger operation as separate arrangements avoids planning an evening around an unconfirmed parking privilege.

The resort adds a separate living area
The resort Junior Suite has a living room distinct from its bedroom. Its official description lists one living room, one bedroom, one bathroom and one balcony, with two 180 by 210 cm king beds in the bedroom. Both ocean-view and village-view options are described. Check the view on the room you are booking; a photograph of one ocean-view suite does not make the entire Junior Suite category ocean-facing.
The resort publishes a published total area of 106.0 square metres and an exclusive-use area of 63.8 square metres. Those labels matter. Comparing 106.0 with the hotel Superior’s 46.8-square-metre room figure as though both measured the same interior space would be misleading. The more useful question is where you will sit, sleep and open luggage, and whether a separate living room solves a problem during your stay.
That living room can matter when companions keep different sleeping hours or want somewhere to sit while the car charges. Separation of spaces does not itself prove sound insulation or that every opening has a closing door. If a fully enclosed sleeping area is essential, consult the official floor plan or ask the property about the exact layout before choosing the suite.
Other resort categories differ again. The official Classic Suite description distinguishes a living room and two bedrooms or ondol sleeping rooms. The Classic living-room photograph below is labelled separately from the Junior Suite images. It is an alternative to investigate if you need more sleeping spaces, rather than evidence that every suite has the same bedroom count or bedding arrangement. Match the exact subtype and sleeping setup to your party.
More slow chargers at the resort do not prove a shorter walk from your room. The Junior Suite page lists building A, floors 3 to 8, and building D, floors 5 to 6, but does not compare routes to the rear charging area. If this journey matters, ask about the room that can be allocated and the charging area you would use together. Do not request a particular building on an unsupported assumption about access.

Staying in Pyoseon before the airport journey
Haevichi’s official address is 537 Minsokhaean-ro, Pyoseon-myeon, Seogwipo. Staying in Pyoseon serves a different purpose from spending the final night beside the airport. Work backwards from your flight and rental-car return: include the required battery level and the time you need to finish charging. This article does not establish a road journey time for a specific date, a flight connection or a rental desk’s closing time.
If you arrive with a very low battery, avoid making the hotel the only remaining charging option in your plan. Ask the rental company or charging operator about a current alternative compatible with the car. An alternative is useful only if its connector and payment method work for you; a nearby pin on a map is not enough. Check those details before you depend on it when the accommodation’s chargers are occupied.
The Pyoseon photographs show the setting around a coastal stay. They were taken in 2014 and do not document today’s parking entrances or chargers. A beach walk can be part of time spent near the hotel, but keep the car’s charging-completion and movement requirements separate from that walk. The sand visible in a photograph does not establish current swimming hours, tides or beach operations.
Read dated facility notices separately from charging information. On 31 October 2026, the official homepage displayed a notice about Twin Pool non-operation and Third Pool family-pool operation for 26 October to 8 November. If swimming affects your choice during that period, read the specific notice again for the applicable facility and alternative arrangements. General pool wording on a room page does not establish operation on your travel date.

Check the building as well as the room name
The Agoda and Trip.com property pages checked for this article combine the hotel and resort. One shared listing does not mean that the rooms are interchangeable. Read Hotel or Resort first, then Superior, Junior or Classic Suite, followed by King or Twin and Village or Ocean View. If any of those fields differs, you are comparing a different room even though the property heading remains unchanged.
Once you enter actual dates and guest details, compare ages, extra bedding, breakfast, cancellation and the total payable amount on the same basis. A general policy on the official room page need not be identical to the rate plan selected through a booking channel. Charging fees require their own check. No stay dates were specified for this comparison, so it does not quote a room price or claim that a room is available.
A useful enquiry gives the vehicle model, charging specification, planned card or phone-payment method and expected arrival time. Say whether you will stay in the hotel or resort so the reply can identify the relevant area. Charger reservations, operating hours, breakdowns, maintenance and rules for moving a fully charged car are not settled by the published FAQ. Confirm them for the actual stay.
Narrow down the room first, then match the charging arrangements. Choose the hotel for a suitable Superior layout with underground charging, or investigate the resort for a Junior Suite’s separate living room and the rear charging area. If your car or payment method cannot use the relevant equipment, make a workable charging plan before finalising the room’s booking conditions.
